New PPTA Acute Care SIG Formed

Membership is currently open for the newly formed Acute Care Special Interest Group (AC-SIG). The mission of the Acute Care SIG is to provide a forum for PPTA members who have a common interest in enhancing the physical health & functional abilities of patients/clients across the continuum of acute care.
Objectives and By laws are being developed and may include but are not limited to professional development, advocating research, health policy initiatives, partnership with the academic community, and other health care entities impacting acute care, encourage acute care PT as a career choice, and promote a means to disseminate information related to improving acute care physical therapy practice. Membership is free and open to all members of the PPTA.
